Assertiveness Training:  

 

 

Synopsis:
Providing each delegate with practical skills to be assertive in a variety of different business situations, for example: holding effective meetings, coping with customers, helping to improve colleague’s performance and assisting in establishing good internal relations.

Aims & Objectives
Deleagtes will learn how to be more assertive and confident within themselves and learn the difference between assertive and aggressive behaviour.

Pre-Course Work:
 
No pre course is required for Assertiveness Training but we do ask delegates to think about real life situations where they feel that they could have been more assertive.

  • Benefits of being assertive
  • Be assertive in the right situations
  • Understand different levels of assertiveness
  • Submissive/aggressive behaviours, their definition and body language
  • The difference between submissive, aggressive and assertive behaviour
  • Own personal communication style
  • Be specific, stay relevant and achieve positive outcomes
  • Barriers to assertiveness
  • Recognise and deal with fear
  • Assertive techniques
  • Saying no assertively
  • Persuasion skills and coping with criticism
  • Listening skills

  • All underpinning knowledge and skills to deal with difficult situations effectively
  • Ability to deliver assertive statements
  • Strength to say ‘no’ assertively
  • Ensure that the deelagte is ready to be more confident and assertive in thier day to day life
